Guidelines for Submitting Events to the Harp Events Calendar


The Washington Area Folk Harp Society keeps a calendar of upcoming harp events local to the Washington, DC, area. They may be events sponsored by WAFHS or events put on by WAFHS members. You are encouraged to list your harp-related events to the WAFHS calendar.

Procedures for Calendar Submissions

The following are the procedures for submitting an event to be listed in the WAFHS calendar:
  1. Calendar updates will be posted to the website once a month, as close to the 1st as possible.
  2. Calendar submissions may be made at any time, but they won't be added to the website until the next update.
  3. The cut-off for submissions for the next posting will be the 21st of the month.
  4. A reminder will be sent on the 15th of the month.
  5. Updates must be sent to calendar@wafhs.org. They will not be included if they are sent anywhere else.
  6. The submissions must be in this format:
      date
      event name
      location (address)
      performer -- name, and website if there is one
      contact -- phone, email, website
      additional info -- fee, other performers
      time

Excessively long submissions are subject to editting.
